Be Glow - TIA and PURA Sonic Cleansers

At The Amazing Blog, we are always on the hunt for products that will help us cleanse our skin and help make it look more vibrant 24/7. We’ve been looking for an uncomplicated, portable, easy to clean and maintain sonic cleanser. Some of us here, have tried those electric cleansing brushes, but found that they tended to be quite harsh, ‘peeling’ the skin to cleanse which then generate more blemishes. Tired of spending money on useless beauty gadgets products? Then read on, we recently came across a new brand BeGlow with their TIA and PURA Sonic Cleansers at the CEW Awards showcase .

BeGlow advanced facial treatment methodologies are what everyone needs! Like us, they were aware that most brush-based sonic cleansers had an antagonistic effect on some people’s skin due to the nylon brushes. The brushes can end up harvesting bacteria because they never seem to get fully dry in a bathroom, due to humidity. They started working on different formulas to create a sonic cleanser that would avoid all those issues. After hours of brainstorming, they discovered that silicone brushes are the ideal material since it is non-porous, making it easy to dry, clean and therefore more hygienic. This is where BeGlow shines; they also have designed soft, replaceable silicone brushes which they recommend changing annually, to keep guaranteeing optimal results.

BeGlow designed two different cleansers; TIA and PURA, both are waterproof so can be used in the bath or shower, and each serving different functions. TIA is an all-in-one sonic skincare system designed for cleaning, lifting and toning. TIA is dual-ended making it possible to cleanse and tone both simultaneously and at once. On the one end, it has a replaceable silicone brush head to provide you with the ultimate hygiene. Its skinsense technology allows the machine to adapt its intensity according to your needs, automatically. On the other end, it has an anti-ageing titanium applicator with high frequency pulses, that improve your blood circulation and cell vitality, by helping the oxygen absorption. Lastly, it has a dual pulse visage mode which acts like a full-on workout for your face, toning its muscles to enhance definition and strength in the area of the cheekbones and jawline. This device is available in stylish colours of red, pink, white and black.

PURA, on the other hand, is simpler to use and is ideal for travelling due to its smaller size. PURA is designed to remove impurities and makeup (and other products) from your skin, to help avoid future blemishes, it’s available in pink and white. Like TIA, it is composed of a replaceable silicone brush head and skinsense technology. No matter which one you go for, they are both are straightforward to use. Start by applying your favourite product and press the control button to start the cleansing, press the control button 1 to enter the standard cleansing mode. Once you are finished, rinse and dry your face and you’re ready to apply your skincare. Both TIA and PURA and waterproof and once fully charged, this charge can last up to 6 months!

Skin health should always be your top priority and with BeGlow, it couldn’t be easier. We’re fans and think that our complexions are looking better than ever. Get your TIA and PURA Sonic Cleansers at here for £199 for TIA and £109 for PURA. You can also get them at other online retailers like Look Fantastic and QVC.

Fushi - Wild, Cold-Pressed Pomegranate Oil 80%+

We love to support indie brands here at The Amazing Blog particularly those that source their ingredients seasonally. This is why we always want to try new products from Fushi. They have just launched a new product: Wild, Cold-Pressed Pomegranate Oil 80%+ sustainably sourced from South Africa utilising the entire Pomegranate fruit making sure it’s free from artificial ingredients and chemicals. What we love about this product is that it’s also food grade too – so can be taken sprinkled liberally not only on your face but on your favourite cereal, salad or smoothies!

Founded by Ria Pattni and Rannesh Jansari, Fushi the brand was created to keep ancient techniques alive. Passed on from Ria’s grandmother, to her mother and then onto her originating mainly from Ayurvedic recipes. The products are composed of natural oils and herbs all hand-blended to create organic, ethical and pure formulas to primarily enhance skin rejuvenation. As mentioned previously in our post on their BioVedid range, Fushi means ‘eternal life’ in Japanese. Their products maintain the essence of natural remedies used in the past, with a modern touch. Fushi not only takes care of your skin but also the planet. They are members of the Ethical Company Organisation workers and suppliers, as well as being a member of the Ethical Company Organisation and the Good Shopping Guide, as well as supporting Fair Trade with their inventions.

The Fushi Wild, Cold-Pressed Pomegranate Oil 80%+ is a new formula rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, linoleic acid, oleic acid and flavonoids that by altering the way it is produced, the punicic acid, better known as Omega 5 has been boosted to over 80%. Increasing Omega 5 has made this oil perfect for anti-ageing, heart health, stronger immunity, and more. It is believed that Fushi has cracked the code and created the first pomegranate oil 80%+ in the market. No one likes greasy or heavy oils, and this is where it scores well as Fushi’s Pomegranate Oil is light and absorbent, making it non-greasy and ideal for mature, normal, damaged and skins. Albiva - ECM Advanced Repair Brightening Serum

Everyone knows that the weather conditions here in the UK are wildly unpredictable. One minute it’s rain, the next sun, and who knows what the following day might be doing - snowing?! All these temperature changes effect our skin with varying degrees of dryness or break-outs. Which prompted our mission at The Amazing Blog to look for a natural skincare to protect and nourish it rain or shine. This is where we’d like to introduce you to Albiva (who we met at the CEW Awards showcase) a new natural skincare where science meets nature, and they kindly sent us their ECM Advanced Repair Brightening Serum to try out.

Ivana Iesini founder of Albiva, was diagnosed with a spinal tumour at the age of 28, where she was having to combine so many conventional medicines, that it started to make her feel worse. During her months of recuperation, she thought about her grandmother, Albina who was a herbalist. She remembered the natural remedies that she was introduced to from an early age, and the power of all these botanicals used to help heal and regenerate the body. Her journey into launching Albiva had begun. The name is a portmanteau combining the name of Ivana’s grandmother and her own. Ivana combined her knowledge of these natural remedies, her studies in biomedical sciences together with embracing an organic way of life, and bingo! From this, Albiva skincare gradually took shape combining her knowledge of science and natural compounds, all collated from sustainable sources. Another thing that sets this brand apart is their use of ‘gemmotherapy’ (an advanced branch of phytotherapy, which isolates the active ingredients from the embryonic tissues of plants). They also remove plain water from their formulations, where Albiva prides itself on replacing the plain water with COSMOS certified organic Raspberry water, this in itself is an active ingredient renowned for firming, lifting and smoothing properties. There are skin-identical and cell communicating ingredients, all designed to stimulate cell regeneration using the skin’s own cell biology. Let’s not forget to mention the ultra-hydrating blend of botanical extracts, powerful antioxidants, collagen supporting ingredients, peptides, ceramides, compound of oligo-elements, phyto-stimulins, nucleid acids, marine algae extracts, essential fatty acids and many more. Now you know why this brand is so very special!

The ECM Advanced Repair Brightening Serum (ECM means extra cellular matrix) combats hyperpigmentation (age spots) and equalises the skin texture providing natural minerals and vitamins that the skin might be lacking. This serum rejuvenates and restores damaged skin by combining an array of natural botanicals: Mallow, Peppermint, Cowslip, Lady’s Mantle, Speedwell, Melissa, and Yarrow together with Swiss Garden Cress extract; all to enhance the complexion protecting it from environmental damage. It is vegan, cruelty-free, dermatologically tested, contains 77% of certified organic ingredients and 92% of natural ingredients. We like that it’s light in texture, absorbs quickly (no oiliness), with the subtlest of fragrance and left our skin feeling hydrated and looking brighter. We used it under our regular moisturiser and SPF primer, and were pleased to note that it complemented these other products. This serum is suitable for all skin types, so whether you are combating age spots or the effects of the erratic UK summer weather, the ECM Advanced Repair Brightening Serum is going to be your perfect ally. This is one brand to keep an eye on, as we’ll predict they’ll being going places…. To get your very own special serum, go to Albiva’s website here 30ml for £195.00.

Victoria Green – Amy 3 in 1 Travel Makeup Wallet

We find that managing to keep our makeup and toiletries organised in one bag when travelling can be a real nightmare. We will jiggle and juggle and then the bag becomes so bulky that we just can’t fit it in the carry-on! Finding an all-in-one makeup/travel bag that’s both functional and stylish is a real challenge. However, fear not The Amazing Blog found the solution when we saw the ‘Amy 3 in 1 Travel Makeup Wallet’, a versatile trio of waterproof popper wallets that combine to make up one bag, all designed by Victoria Green at the 2019 showcase for CEW Awards .

This smart little makeup wallet has already been featured in the top media outlets such as The Independent, The Sunday Times, the British Beauty Blogger and many more. The award-winning founder of the brand, Victoria Green, found herself as a disorganised woman living a hectic life which is not the best combination! In her past life she travelled the world constantly and was always that one person who got stopped by security at the airport, always having her beauty products confiscated. This is when she had a ‘light bulb moment’ realising that she wasn’t the only one that this happened to and that it was a common problem. Hence, Victoria Green’s travel/makeup bags and organisers were born.

Victoria’s Amy 3 in 1 Travel Makeup Wallet is elegant, practical, strong and leak proof; it’s also made from vegan leather, making it easy care and wipe-clean. It is fabulously functional and makes you effortlessly organised, with each compartment coming with a zip and poppers ensuring your beauty items are protected. A big plus is a central section which is transparent and TSA compliant so ideal for your cabin bag. This 3 in 1 design allows you to use each section separately, creating a single, double or triple bag according to space in your luggage. Each compartment is wipeable, fits full-size makeup brushes; it’s 100% phthalate-free with inner packaging composed of 100% recyclable paper. All the Victoria Green bags are also vegan and cruelty-free. We not only love this bag for our toiletries but applaud Victoria Green for being partnered with cancer poverty charity Something To Look Forward To and for their pledge to be PVC-free by 2020. We already have our Amy 3 in 1 Travel Makeup Wallet at only £20.00, to get yours for summer travels ahead, see here.

FITCH Brew Co - Cold Brew Coffee

We are heading up to Yorkshire for The Amazing Blog this time - and happily so, for some of the best things come out of this glorious part of England AKA ‘God’s own country’, and we are never slow in jumping forward to celebrate it. But we aren’t talking ubiquitous puddings, or dales here, but coffee - deliciously smooth, and naturally sweet, cold brewed coffee to be exact! The secret of cold brewing we learn, is that it takes longer for the flavours and aromas to extract, and therefore keeps the acidity low. The Fitch Brew Co have taken this concept and added their own roasting technique and grind profiles to create a superb range of refreshing and totally delicious coffees for us all to enjoy.

Founded by young pioneers Andy and Emily who knew that there was more to soft drinks, more to flavour, more to brewing techniques and more to transparency! All coffee used in cold brew here is from using single origin, Rainforest Alliance coffee where they apply their own specific roast and grind profile. The cooler the water the slower the flavours and aromas will extract. It also has a limited acidity thus providing a naturally sweet and smooth taste. The names of each coffee are themselves a magnet for our tastebuds. Here are our favourite three: Coffee Infused With Sicilian Lemon, or perhaps the Blood Orange Infusion  will tempt you? Delve a little deeper and we find Dark Fortune Cold Brew Coffee with Amber Tonic which definitely gives a good zing! It is well worth checking out to see their full range, and to read the background story to this creative team, who also pride themselves on their sustainability through a collaboration with Bio-Bean to recycle their coffee waste into high performance products, displacing conventional fuels and chemicals.

Each coffee is brewed in-house, with all-natural ingredients, no refined sugar and all vegan friendly - giving every one of us a drop of Yorkshire magic in each can, along with the required caffeine hit to brace us for the morning. Each can is 330ml, and depending on the flavour, they range in price from £1.99 - £2.20, but let’s face it, none of us will be opting for ‘just the one’ option, so obviously there are multipacks at £8.50 for a pack of four cans. All the ranges and much more merchandise besides are available here.
