Here at The Amazing Blog, we believe skincare shouldn’t revolve just around the face, it is equally important to take care of our whole body. We have selected a few of our favourite skincare products from PHB Ethical Beauty, Mimi’s, JustBe Botanicals, and Pura Vida to keep us in tip top shape.

Firstly, PHB Ethical Beauty have introduced an effective yet gentle organic face wash. The Rosehip & Chamomile Gentle Face Wash is ideal for anyone that finds their skin sensitive. This family run brand is committed to natural and organic products, we can finally have confidence that our skin will not react badly. The clear face wash has a smooth and cooling texture, after washing away with water your skin is left feeling soft and refreshed. We loved that it didn’t strip the moisture from our face, the use of natural essential oils ensured our skin was protected and hydrated. Mimi’s Organic Skincare has catered for all with ranges specified to both men and women. From the women’s range we had the opportunity to try the indulgent Night Revitaliser and Repair Serum. The Night Revitaliser Cream is a rich and creamy mixture of oils and butters that protect and nourish whilst you sleep. Only a small amount is needed but we were astounded by how clean and hydrated our skin felt. The liquid Repair Serum is extremely moisturising, best results come from taking the time to massage into the skin. We found that after just a few uses our skin felt firmer.

From the men’s range we received the Aftershave Blend and Face Balm, both of which had a clean and refreshing scent. The face balm came in a thick and creamy form to provide an intense moisture for tired/dry skin. While the Aftershave Blend felt more like a liquid serum, the mixture of essential oils and Vitamin E are designed to intensely nourish and protect the skin. Perfect for men who’s skin undergoes daily trauma whilst shaving. JustBe Botanicals have launched a bright and fragrant JustBe Happy Hand & Body Set, equipped with a lotion and wash. Both are lovingly handmade using totally natural ingredients, no need to worry about harmful chemicals on your body. We love that this set works for both hands and body, with the most gorgeous citrus scent. The blend of uplifting pink grapefruit, lime and coconut oil in the wash leaves skin cleansed and bursting with happiness. The lotion has an addition of creamy shea butter and soothing aloe vera, a perfect companion as it locks in hydration. Now we have our skin well hydrated and nourished, it’s important to get rid of any unwanted dead skin. The Pura Vida Coconut Coffee scrub is the answer! The scrub is full of natural and organic Costa Rican ingredients, including rich coconut oil to prevent the scrub from drying the skin. Only needed once a week, this effective but gentle scrub gives the skin a brightening effect whilst keeping it soft and supple. When we get home from The Amazing Blog Office, the last thing we want to do is endure a long skincare regime. Balance Active Formula

It is a typical morning at The Amazing Blog. We jump out of the shower and the clock is ticking. But today our body care routine is faster and easier with Balance Active Formula.

It is almost impossible to believe but we can actually be ready in less than ten minutes and our clothes won’t stick because of never-absorbing body lotion.
Let’s start from the outside. It is a spray which means you will need half the time to put it on, in one gesture your body will be cover in a warm and caring lotion.
The top is very practical, it has a twisting lid that closes perfectly avoiding any possible spillage and you can carry it around in your gym bag.
We found it very convenient as a little amount is enough for both arms and the hydrating effect lasts longer than usual body lotion; no need to reapply and no waste, sounds like a good deal to us.
Among the others properties one really caught our attention, Balance Active is anti-aging.
An anti-aging body product is not something very common and we can’t help but loving it.
Texture and benefits are the main reasons why we usually buy a body cream but in this case there’s more that meets the eyes. In order to keep our skin soft and lovely to caress, argan oil has been add to this already complete product, which also donates a pampering scent.

Soap Co. – Hand Wash, Hand Lotion and Soap

Today we are totally inspired at The Amazing Blog from the minimal, black and white style of Soap Co. products.

It’s always a pleasure writing about efficient and natural products but when we can also celebrate a brand that cares about disabled people, we’re doubly happy; Soap Co. employs blind people and that’s why the name on the packaging is also written in Braille.  
If you need further reasons to buy these products just let us say that they’re all cruelty-free and eco-friendly as the packaging is 100% recyclable or totally refillable; beside it doesn’t contains any chemical that could only irritate our skin.

We were excited to try White Tea but you can also find black poppy with wild fig and citrus.
We couldn’t make a better decision. The fragrance is so delicate that it won’t interfere with other perfume you’re using but it lasts all day.
From now on the Hand Wash is something we will always have in our bathroom. Something so clear and transparent can be only made with natural ingredients.
It creates an indulgent foam that leaves the hands soft and not dry; but we always need that extra touch of hydration and that’s why we can’t live without the Hand Lotion. Same fragrance and a creamy texture that reminds us of fluffy, whipped cream. The better way to describe it is like having a layer of protection on your hands, fresh and gentle.
The Bar Soap has something retro and traditional that makes it special. The name of the brand stamped on top of the bar, or maybe the fact that every bar is hand-cut recalls an old fashion bath tub and love for simplicity.
The white tea products vahe in common the Vitamin B5, plus palm oil and aloe vera extracts responsible for a skin always moisturised and silky.

Thermapen

When cooking, we all like to think we are a bit like ‘Nigella’ in the kitchen and we at The Amazing Blog love to expand our repertoire on cooking, experimenting with new recipes. We have found your must have cooking tool for the kitchen. The Thermapen will allow you to find out if your Sunday joint is thoroughly cooked without having to cut through half of it.

The simplicity of cooking has never been easier after Thermapen came into our lives. We can now stop playing the guessing game with our meat, all you have to do is probe into the joint and read the temperature, and it’s very fast and accurate.
