Friday Favourites - Touché by Flavien

We here at the Amazing Blog have tried our fair share of anti-ageing products. We particularly rate some of the collagen supplements which we have experimented with recently. And we still have a plethora of anti-ageing products that we are gradually working our way through. However, there is one company that always seems to stand out for us. In fact, our Executive Editor just can’t get enough of Touché by Flavien and the products that this company send us. This time around we are focusing on their luxurious skincare.

The initial product we tried was the Rejuvenating Eye Cream. And what good is the perfect anti-ageing product if you can’t see the results? Thanks to the special ingredient of Lichens, sourced 2500 meters below sea level, the product is extra rich in anti-oxidants. The cream also contains the signature exclusive Prickly Pear Oil, which we have discussed in our previous post on Touché by Flavien’s BodycareThe product ingredient here is the Konjac Powder, a plant derivative from an Asian potato, that is loaded with protein, copper, zinc, phosphorus and more. With this ingredient, you will never have to worry about those nasty dark circles underneath your eyes or crows feet. If your eye areas feel a little lacklustre, you can purchase the Rejuvenating Eye Cream here for £79.00 for 15ml

Next, we’d like to focus on the entire face with the Rejuvenating Face Serum. Like the eye cream, this serum also contains the special ingredient of Konjac Powder. However, it also contains its own unique ingredients, including Moringa Oil and Progeline. Moringa Oil has been revered as one of the world’s most nutrient dense oils and has amazing rejuvenating properties. Recently, current technology has given us Progeline, which not only tackles wrinkles, but also remodels and improves texture and tone. Even if this product was designed to use on the face, we, along with others, have found that you can actually apply it on your chest, shoulders and neck as well.  Unlike your average anti-ageing moisturiser, this product truly replenishes every layer of your skin, rather than just moisturising the top. Say good-bye to sagging skin and purchase the Rejuvenating Face Serum here for £170.00 for 30ml

Finally, we would like to tell you about the Cell Regeneration Moisturiser. This moisturiser contains a very special ingredient: Lotus Root Liposome. It is the only known plant to live in all three elements at the same time: earth, water and air. Can you say that about any of the anti-ageing products that you’ve tried? We promise that this moisturiser will not only hydrate your skin, but it will also balance your skin tones, complexion and the overall colouring of your skin. It’s time to breathe new life into your skin by purchasing the Cell Regeneration Moisturiser here for £89.00 for 50ml.

The quality of all of these products is just absolutely top notch. Not only do they have some of best the ingredients and the performance that we’ve tried, but they’re also boxed up in extremely chic black and gold packaging. Touché by Flavien also very generously sent us other skincare products, which we tried and loved just as much as we usually do. Instead of revealing all of the utterly unique and elite ingredients, we suggest you try them yourself. Take a look at the company’s entire skincare line and you will never have to worry about looking your age again. Thank you, Touché by Flavien

Friday Favourites - Hand Cream Feature

Working in an office, the team here at The Amazing Blog often struggle with dry hands. Air conditioning and constantly juggling papers parches our mitts to no end, so we’re always keeping an eye out for nourishing and soothing hand care products. Being the beauty junkies that we are, there are a number of hand creams that pass through the office, but we’ve decided to pick out a few of our favourites to share with you.

The most notable thing about Odylique’s new Lemon Butter Hand Smoothie is its sweet and distinctive smell. Needless to say, if you aren’t a lemon lover, this probably isn’t the lotion for you. However, if you are a common user of zingy scents, the lemon and vanilla fusion will keep your senses indulging in lemony bliss. Don’t worry, the smell of the product is strong, but it is effective as well. The combination of cocoa and coconut butter, along with virgin avocado oil, is sure to fully moisturise your hands and keep them from cracking. It is also 100% natural and 93% organic. This product is available online for £12.99.

We usually moisturise our hands with a cream rather than a balm. However, when we heard about the drive behind the company Kahina Giving Beauty, we decided to try their Fez Hand And Body Balm. The founder Katharine L’Heureux uses Organic Argan Oil to protect, nourish and enhance the quality of skin in each product her company produces. Kahina donates a percentage of its profits to support programs that improve the lives of Berber women who extract the Argan Oil used in the products. If that wasn’t enough, she personally ventures to Morocco to pick up the oil to ensure that the women who are extracting it are being treated as they should. To read more about her story and the drive behind this charitable company, visit their website. You can pick up the hand balm for £35 here.

We have featured Touche By Flavien on our blog before, but that’s because we just can’t get enough of the products! Luckily, along with its other great skincare products, the company provides a hand cream as well. The Rosa Rubiginosa & Prickly Pear Regeneration Hand Cream is full of skin conditioning botanics which are sure to help tackle the pesky signs of ageing on your beloved hands. The Rosa Rubiginosa scent is unique in a sense that is has traditionally been referred to as “the fountain of youth.” In our opinion, this fact speaks for itself in the wondrous results it provides. Purchase the product for £38 here.

Here in the office, we find British heritage a fascinating subject, and admire the work of organisations like the National Trust, who work to preserve our national treasures. We were delighted when we discovered that Tisserand Aromatherapy had collaborated with the company, bringing a range of bath oils and lotions carefully created with the National Trust’s ethical and environmental ethos in mind. Their Rose Garden Hand & Body Lotion combines a beautiful blend of Rose Essential Oil and Sandalwood, which evokes scenes from our favourite Jane Austen novels. The floral cream also contains Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil, ideal for nourishing skin, and is perfect for preserving our delicate hands. You can pick up the Hand & Body Lotion here for £8.

Touché by Flavien

You’ve been told over and over again that Argan Oil is the best thing for you skin, but what if we told you that there might be something better…. After hearing about Touché by Flavien through our client the eminent beauty blogger, The Beauty Shortlist, where the company won an award last year, I just knew I had to try some products for The Amazing Blog.

What makes this luxurious brand Touché by Flavien so unique is the fact that they contain the ingredient Prickly Pear, which is one of the most exclusive (and expensive!) beauty oils in the world. The reason why is that its production is quite labour intensive and can take up to an astonishing 4 days to process – all of which has to be done by hand. The Prickly Pear seeds are separated from the pulp before being dried and cold pressed and each seed only contains 5% of oil, so over 60 lbs of seeds have to be handled for about 34 oz. of oil. So, I hear you ask, what makes Prickly Pear oil a competitor of Argan Oil?  Well, it contains more Tocopherol than any other oil used in the beauty sector. Tocopherol are molecules with strong antioxidants and the highest levels of Vitamin E, which contains powerful anti-inflammatory powers and has excellent wound healing properties.

I was lucky enough to try the Soothing Body Cream, Delicate Cleansing Gel and Body Cleansing Milk. They are absolutely my favourite products right now.

The Soothing Body Cream is an anti-ageing luxurious body cream that glides over the skin with a calming touch. It deeply nourishes and smoothes the skin from head to toe. The ingredients of White Peony, Prickly Pear, Almond Seed Oil, Black Tea, and St. John’s Wort regenerate collagen, deeply nourish and counteract the effects of any skin irritations. This body lotion is light but extremely long lasting. I found that even at nighttime my skin still felt soft and moisturised – for me this is a winner!  It has a very delicate fragrance, which won’t conflict with any other scent you care to spray on afterwards. You can purchase 150 ml of the Soothing Body Cream for £49.00 here.

The Delicate Cleansing Gel is the one product I was desperate to try. It has been specifically formulated with calming and balancing plant extracts suitable for sensitive skin. This cleansing gel also contains Prickly Pear, which helps nourish and soothe the skin. A trio of coconut derivatives gently cleanse, helping water to mix with oil and impurities, so that they are easily washed away. The ingredient Glycerin works with the skin’s intercellular matrix to attract just the right amount of water to maintain homeostasis. I really love this cleansing gel, and will definitely be buying more. It is made specifically for ‘intimate areas’ and as far as I can see, there are very few ‘natural’ cleansing products on the market that cater to this specific region of the body. If this sounds like a product for you, you can purchase the Delicate Cleansing Gel for £39.00 for 200 ml here.

The Body Cleansing Milk is also deeply moisturising and regenerates skin while lifting away impurities thanks to Moringa Oil, Vitamins A, C, and E and Amino Acids. These ingredients provide a healthy environment for skin cells to thrive. Infused with Prickly Pear, the cleansing milk helps prevent the development of fine lines and radical damage. It is one of the richest body cleansing milks that I have used and it’s absolutely fabulous. I found it particularly good for me especially before applying my weekly fake tan, mainly because it left my skin perfectly prepped. Again, I’ll be buying more of this too! You can purchase 200 ml of the Body Cleansing Milk here for £38.00.

I’m in love with these products, particularly as they are so pure and use the wonderful Prickly Pear Oil. After using them, there is no doubt in my mind that Prickly Pear Oil will be the next big thing for skincare products, and I can’t wait to try more of what Touché by Flavien has to offer. Unfortunately for Touché by Flavien, the products seem to be a best kept secret, but take it from me, they are all highly recommended – so please don’t miss out!
