Butterscotch, Mixed Nut Brittle and Salted Caramel by Fudge Kitchen

All of us at The Amazing Blog are huge fans of Fudge Kitchen and their addictively sweet treats. Having never previously reviewed their products before, we leapt at the opportunity when it finally came around. Fudge Kitchen very kindly sent us three of their products, including some Salted Caramel, Butterscotch and Mixed Nut Brittle. 

Fudge Kitchen has been making hand-crafted treats for over 30 years, using traditional techniques to make new sweet treats. Each piece of confectionery is hand decorated in a small batch, and contain only natural ingredients. The Salted Caramel is utterly delectable; sweet caramel is topped with thick milk chocolate and pink Himalayan rock salt crystals. It had a rich, sweet and salty flavour that left us wanting more. The Butterscotch is a relatively new product for Fudge Kitchen. Creamy Gourmet Butterscotch is smothered in milk chocolate, combining an iconic British favourite with the velvety texture of smooth milk chocolate. The butterscotch is vegetarian-friendly and contains no gluten so everyone can enjoy this. The mixed nut brittle was the perfect snack to bring to work for when we needed a sugar boost. The thick caramel brittle is infused and filled with mixed nuts adding extra texture, flavour and snap.  This snack is also gluten-free and vegetarian-friendly.

Assorted Fudge By Buttermilk

Who doesn’t love Cornwall? The Cornish honeycomb was marvellous, light and airy it had a bitter sweet juxtaposition in its flavour, as the dark toffee of the honeycomb clashes with the sweet and creamy milk chocolate it’s covered with. The nutty and sweet taste of the chocolate covered and hand broken almond brittle is infused with sea salt that adds a burst of sophistication to a loveable childhood favourite.  Similarly the buttery caramel sea salt fudge crumbles and melts as the opposing flavours of sweet and salty melt together - it’s no surprise this fudge has won awards, its moreish-ness is nearly unparalleled, that is until you try Buttermilk’s new cookie and cream fudge of course. I’m the type of girl who loves to experiment with different kinds products and gadgets and companies. This is why I find working with the girls at The Amazing Blog so fun… who doesn’t love trying something new? Besides my hand jewellery, I wanted to add a little bit of sparkle to my eyebrows. So I came across the Bling Brow Kit created by Benefit Cosmetics. Not only do I love to dress up, but I also enjoy going out and grabbing a drink with my girlfriends. Recently I came across Snow Leopard Vodka, which I’ve slowly but surely fallen in love with. I've also discovered a delicious selection of chocolates from Sweet Dreams Ltd. called Choc Nibbles. We received two different flavours: Original Choc Nibbles and Toffee Crumble. The one I really loved was the Original Choc Nibbles. The taste of these tiny chocolates was just divine, and you could taste that they were made with quality chocolate. It's almost like eating real chocolate milk! Purchase chocolate at your local confectionery, convenience or discount stores, and share these delicious chocolates as a treat after your Christmas Dinner. 

Güllüoĝlu Turkish Delights

As our readers know, we here at The Amazing Blog love sweets. When samples come through the office we never hesitant to jump on them. But believe it or not, sampling the same flavored treats can become repetitive and a bit of a bore.  So when we learned of Güllüoĝlu Turkish Delights and their exquisite range of flavours, we anxiously awaited the arrival of their samples. And within two days of receiving these delights, the box was completely empty.

With over 150 years of experience, Güllüoĝlu is an authentic turkish brand that maintains a tradition of making the 'finest' and most delicious Turkish Delights possible. Their speciality lies in the unique and untraditional flavours they design. We received some of their most highly rated including Orange Rolled Sultan Delight, Pistachio Rolled Sultan Delight, Walnut Milky Sultan Delight, Cocoa Sultan Delight, and Coconut Pistachio Sultan Delight. At first these combinations may seem a bit strange but don't judge this book by its cover - Güllüoĝlu knows what they are doing. Each blend is perfectly matched to be sweet but not over baring.  The Walnut Milky Sultan Delight (my personal favourite) was unlike any turkish delight that anyone of us in the office had ever seen. Topped with a whole walnut this gorgeous treat was irresistible from the first bite. And the texture reminded me of a gourmet marshmallow. Nibbling on any of these uncommon flavours is sure to be delightful but for those of you that fancy the more traditional route there are classics as well including Rose, Orange and Cherry that are equally delicious.
