As we were discussing here at The Amazing Blog, perfumes are an expression of ourselves, they tell a story and reveal a few of our personality traits. FiiLit perfumes are vegan and made with a range between 87% to 100% of only natural ingredients. They have partnered with Stéphane Piquart's company BeHave to source their base ingredients and essential oils. BeHave works with multiple NGOs to get the ideal balance between quality ingredients and giving back to the communities.

Lark & Berry Fragrances

Finding only one fragrance that encompasses your style, personality and suits each season can be very tricky. At The Amazing Blog we believe a spritz of perfume adds that essential final touch to not only to how you feel but how you project your look. Today, we want to introduce you to one of our #amazingfinds from Lark & Berry, who have expanded their empire from being an exciting and disruptive force in the world of fine jewellery, to now turning their attention to making a change in the world of fragrances.

Launched in 2018 by Laura Chavez, Lark & Berry was born out of a desire to make a difference, and changing the jewellery industry. Laura noticed that she either found high-quality jewellery with skyrocketing prices or affordable jewellery that was very poor quality. She saw the opportunity to create her unique jewellery using only cultured diamonds and stones (all laboratory grown) which provide transparency, honesty, affordability and a much lower environmental impact. With Lark, meaning ‘playful’ and which was Laura’s favourite bird and Berry, being a pendant her grandmother gave her, she founded Lark & Berry.

Today we want to talk about Lark & Berry and their three fragrances in this new range of Eau de Parfum: Midnight Garden, White Dawn and Alchemy Number 3. This trio is all-natural, made with organic flower compositions and not tested on animals. We tried the Alchemy Number 3, all beautifully packaged in a subtle marbled box with a sweet hidden message (see pic above).  This deluxe bottle has a delightful touch with its gold chain and diamond charm around the neck of the bottle (perhaps it could double up as a ring?) Alchemy Number 3 boosted our senses with its heady key notes combining sandalwood and tuberose. It is deliciously long-lasting and retains top notes of the jasmine and ylang-ylang with the base notes of patchouli, leather and amber musk. As a warm and sensual fragrance, we think it complements this autumn season as the daylight draws in and the nights get longer. Skincare and Lipcare by Skôt Beauté

Skôt Beauté’s philosophy is centred around incorporating natural and pure botanical ingredients to enhance your skin. The company prides themselves on their cruelty-free, vegan, eco-friendly and organic products. The people at Skôt believe that beautiful skin can only be achieved by treating it right and we at The Amazing Blog couldn't agree more. Skôt very kidly sent us a few products from both their skincare range and lip care range.

Toks Fahm Ajayi, the founder of Skôt Beauté, was inspired to create the company after experiencing various beauty rituals from different cultures around the world. The star ingredient of the skincare products is Calendula, a flower that has been used throughout history to regenerate and heal dry and damaged skin. Skôt sent us their Discovery Kit which included the Supple Glow Moisture Crème, Divine Cleansing Crème, Nevaeh Hydrating Mist and the Lip Smoothie. The Glow Crème contains anti-ageing antioxidants and extracts of spinach leaves and grape skin which protect skin from damaging UV rays. The Divine Crème gently removes makeup while the calendula and sunflower oil stimulate cell regeneration. The Hydrating Mist is delightfully refreshing and it instantly hydrated, refreshed and brightened skin. The Lip Smoothie acts as a treatment to help diminish fine lines around the mouth. Enriched with lemon balm extract, shea butter, carrot extract, peppermint oil and beeswax, lips are left feeling softer and more supple.

The Natural Luxe Lipstick, made again from organic oils, extracts, botanicals and butters, intensely rejuvenates lips, visibly reducing the appearance of lines leaving your lips looking luscious and kissable.The colours are bright and attractive; we tried the brilliant but deep fuschia rose colour which we think is the perfect summer shade.

Mychelle Dermaceuticals - Cleanser and Eye Cream

Here at The Amazing Blog, it's no secret that natural skincare is a true love of ours. So we were excited to come across a brand that not only uses natural ingredients, but also strives to help the planet in return. Mychelle Dermaceuticals credits its fantastic range of products to the power of nature. Mychelle products are free from toxins and they ensure the packaging and containers are reusable and recyclable, resulting in their 2011 Responsible Packaging Award win.

We were lucky enough to try the Refining Sugar Cleanser and Remarkable Retinal Eye Cream. The natural sugar in the cleanser gently exfoliates the skin, but after contact with water transforms into a creamy, foaming lather that cleanses and hydrates the skin. This two-in-one product eliminates the need for an extra exfoliator - now that’s truly eco-friendly. For an added boost, the cleanser is infused with anti-ageing peptides and Crocus Chrysanthus Extract which firms the skin and reduces wrinkles. It seems there is nothing this cleanser cannot do!

The delicate moisturising eye cream requires only a pearl-sized amount applied to be effective - a little goes a long way. Turn back the clock with a formula of anti-ageing Retinaldehyde, plant stem cells, peptides and rich botanical oils. This defends your skin gently but extremely effectively against signs of ageing, by firming and smoothing fine lines. We loved the silky texture and yellow tint that colour corrected against under-eye discolouration.
