Vital C Hydrating Facial Oil - Image Skincare

For a clear and bright complexion to be achieved, it is necessary to feed your skin the nutrients and vitamins needed for it to remain healthy and nourished. So when The Amazing Blog had the chance to sample Image Skincare’s wonderful Vital C Hydrating Facial Oil we were thrilled,  as it’s the perfect product to revitalise skin and feed it those all-important necessities.

We personally think that this oil is one of the best we have tried. Containing Moringa, Sea Buckthorn and Grapeseed oil along with a trove of antioxidants, this oil instantly perks skin up, brightening and refreshing it. The ingredients work together to rejuvenate ageing skin and work as an anti-inflammatory keeping puffiness under control. What’s more, the oil is also paraben and mineral oil free, so you know that while what your putting on your skin is powerful it will do no damage. This is the perfect oil for those with dry, dehydrated and sensitive skins as the oil is rich but gentle.

Tisserand Essential Oil Rollerballs

Tisserand-2If you've followed for a while at The Amazing Blog, you'll already know that we're lovers of essential oils. They're brilliant for the skin, they're natural and above all else they're effective. The girls were particularly  thrilled when we got sent Tisserand's Essential Oil Rollerballs to try - a handy format that allows you to carry these oils full of goodness around, as well as guaranteeing you an easy application. The Lavender Rollerball is ideal to apply to your temples before going to bed, it makes everyday tension vanish - yes and I have tried it! Lavender is well-known for its soothing and relaxing qualities, making it perfect for those tiring and stressful days. It also comforts and soothes dry, blotchy or itchy skin. A definite must-have for any essential oil lovers.
However, if your skin gets easily congested and you're looking for something that helps you balance your skin as well as purifying it, then the Tisserand's Tea Tree Oil Rollerball will be perfect for you. Tea Tree oil is the secret weapon of everyone who, like me, has oily skin. It's a natural anti-bacterial oil with astringent properties. It helps getting rid of blemishes faster without stripping the skin of its moisture (which the girls keep telling me is ideal for my skin). I tend to roll this over the oiliest areas of my face and then rub it in - the morning after my skin feels balanced and hydrated AND best of all it has a neutral smell and absolutely doesn't smell girly (my general fear).  Both these Rollerballs are a very well priced at only £5.50 for 10 ml. Tisserand is one of those brands that The Amazing Blog will alway recommend as their products are natural, simple and effective - so there's not much left to ask for!

Jane Scrivner - Balance Skin Elixir

edwinas thursday At The Amazing Blog we're true lovers of a good oil - we're just obsessed with hair oils, body oils and face oils. One of our early discoveries this year has been Jane Scrivner's Balance Skin Elixir. It claims to balance every skin type - from dry, to oily and dehydrated. Since December I've been using a face oil every evening, and ever since the texture and the appearance of my dry (now normal-ish) skin has dramatically changed for the good. When Jane Scrivner's Balancing Skin Elixir arrived to The Amazing Blog's HQ, I was running out of my regular serum of choice and I decided to give it a go - and I'm completely taken with it.

Jane Scrivner's Balance Skin Elixir's main ingredient is Jojoba - perfect for dry, dehydrated and oily skin alike... contradictory in terms, but it actually makes sense. Jojoba penetrates deep and merges with the skin's natural oils, tricking the skin to reduce or increase - in order to regulate - the production of sebum, transforming your skin to a balanced canvas.

My skin absorbes this fantastic oil almost instantly, leaving it soft, supple and healthy-looking and feeling. I just squeeze one pump onto my fingers, warm it rubbing my fingers and patting it onto my skin (not rubbing it). It is perfect either by itself or under your regular moisuriser.

As I said, I've been using face oils for a couple of weeks now, and the overall appearance of my skin has changed for the better. My skin is no longer dry  (it's much less dehydrated now) and I've found that oils have helped me a  fading scars (I have a small electrolysis scar just above my lip). At The Amazing Blog we can't recommend using face oils/serums enough and Jane Scrivner's has quickly become one of our favourites.  A little goes a long way and this 30ml bottle is still going strong - so a good price at £29 - which will probably last anything between - 30 to 60 days. We will also be writing about her Nourishing Cleanser which has been a real hit with Lara - but you'll just have to wait until February to read her review :o)
