The Amazing Blog is a huge believer in using masks to try and achieve that all elusive perfect complexion. We keep being told by the media that it is imperative to use an effective face mask at least once a week. So, we have been testing out quite a few to see which ones seem to be the most effective.  We received the Supreme Cell Vitality Rejuvenating Mask from the American skincare range  Elizabeth Grant. This product claims to "Provide protection and revitalise the skin making it appear more radiant" We couldn't wait to try! 

The Supreme Cell Vitality Rejuvenating Mask is formulated to purify the skin and boost its natural luminosity. A plethora of good ingredients: Kaolin, Canadian glacial oceanic clay, blue green algae extract, eryngium maritimum extract, aloe vera juice; as well as  chamomille, tea-oil camellia, sage flower and cucumber extracts are all incorporated in this mask formula. Kaolin clay and Canadian clay not only act as a gentle exfoliator but also remove excess oil and draw out impurities. Eryngium Maritimum extract stimulates skin regeneration by increasing elastin and collagen in the epidermis. Blue Green algae the brand star ingredient works for a suppler and more luminous skin.

This mask is a performer. It is perfect for those looking for an immediate glow and youthful-looking skin. After one application our skin looked clearer, smoother (and firmer for the older members of the team!) We think that this mask makes it both a wonderful anti-ageing and rejuvenating mask. Christopher Courtney combines luxury skincare with all-natural skincare, a combination we at The Amazing Blog can definitely get behind. Face Masks by 7th Heaven

7th Heaven is a brand all of us at The Amazing Blog have fond memories of. They were the brand you would buy for sleep overs as a child, then as you got older for nights in with friends and a bottle of wine. They have a wide range of masks available and all of them are fun, affordable and effective. 7th Heaven very kindly sent us a diverse selection of their products to the office and let me tell you, it has been a fun week of selfies and fabulous skin.

What we really love about 7th Heaven is the variety of products they offer. Whatever you are looking for they are bound to have it. They have sheet masks, mud sheet masks, peel off masks, thermal masks, and the classic mud masks. Each mask informs you if it is natural or safely man made (meaning minimal chemicals and all non-harsh.) 7th Heaven has been going strong for over 30 years now, and have always been dedicated to standing against animal testing. They are a founding member of the Cosmetics Industry Coalition of Animal Welfare and are incredibly proud that all their products are cruelty-free.

It was hard to pick a favourite, so instead, we narrowed it down to our top three. From the peel-off masks – which are endlessly fun – we loved the Cucumber Peel Off Mask which deeply cleansed and refreshed the skin. From the traditional mud pack collection, we particularly enjoyed the Avocado Oil Mask which exfoliated our faces as well as moisturised them. We particularly enjoyed the Hot Spring Sauna Masque, which had an unusual warming sensation we could really get behind and would definitely use again. This pack employed volcanic minerals to gently warm and exfoliate the face. Everyone in the office has loved the growth in sheet mask’s popularity, so the combination of the traditional mud pack with this new craze instantly intrigued us and left our skin feeling smoother and more nourished.

Face Masks - Friday Favourites

In the middle of our busy schedules, it is important to have some 'me-time' and finally get to pamper ourselves a little bit and what could be more perfect for the weekend ahead. Here at The Amazing Blog we've got it covered with these fabulous face masks taking their ingredients from around the world.

The first face masks we recommend are from Oh K. The brand is known for its cute and quirky packaging and this product is no exception. Their Coconut Water Face Masks take inspiration from Korean sheet masks, and provides intense hydration.

This particular mask feels really cool and soothing on the skin, and after a long week this is the perfect thing to just stop and relax. Cleanse the skin and apply the mask over the face, making sure to align the eye and mouth holes correctly. We recommend leaving the mask on for 15-20 minutes, this way you will really feel the added moisture in your skin. With any residue left on the face, simply massage into the skin until absorbed or remove with a cotton pad.

Acne, dryness, and dullness can all be improved with a quick intensive mask. To this end, we loved the selection from the brand Vitamasques. They have designed their face mask products to ensure they benefit and improve the skin, using their innovative Korean technology. 

In their Korean Collection we received a Hydro Face Mask that claims to give 120 hours of hydration.  It is recommended that you cleanse and tone your face before applying the mask, and leave on for 20-30 minutes. The Hydro Face mask will enhance the skin's ability to retain moisture, plus it has extracts from the rose of Jericho which will improve the clarity of the skin.

In their fruit range, each mask has a tailored purpose, and we really liked the Pomegranate face mask. The texture of the mask felt ultra soothing on the skin and felt like it was benefiting the skin. This pomegranate face mask works by firming and lifting the skin whilst adding moisture to the face. An added bonus is the triple layer-sheet technology; this will enhance the moisture and will increase the absorption rate too.

When it comes to anti ageing, Time Less Truth Mask has the solution for “ageless beauty”.
