Moonglow Bronzer, Flirt Lip Balm & Magic Mitt - Jane Iredale

Make-up is a definite essential here at the Amazing Blog so we were very excited to try the new products by Jane Iredale. We were lucky enough to try theMoonglow Bronzer, Flirt lip balm and a Magic Mitt from their make up collection.

Contouring and highlighting has become a bit of an internet sensation over the past year, so if you've been as fascinated as we have then you should definitely try the Moonglow bronzer. It comes in a stunning rose gold palette, with four gorgeous shades for you to experiment with. Given the time of year, being able to get that golden bronzed holiday look without having to spend all your money on an actual holiday is all we want. This is definitely an achievable aim with the palette, whose shades include a bronzer that helps define your contour lines, as well as a blusher and a shimmer shade to highlight and accentuate your cheekbones.

Another benefit of this bronzer is how easily it blends and the fact it's highly pigmented means it is wonderfully long-lasting. You don't have to worry about reapplying constantly as it makes it through the day and the night with you. We also love the fact that it has a refillable palette!

The next product we tried was the lip balm 'Flirt', which is part of Jane Iredale's lip drink collection which has a variety of shades to choose from. Flirt came in a lovely, sweet, pink shade that compliments the lips natural colours so much so that it could easily be worn alone in place of a lipstick. We were very impressed with their packaging overall as the balm came in a sleek tube. It's a product you could wear every day and know that not only do your lips look great, but that they are being moisturised, and protected (Flirt is SPF 15). With a refreshing scent, being vegan, and cruelty free, this product is going to make you feel good in more than one way!

Last but by no means least, we bring you the Magic Mitt.  Made with new technology, this product removes all make up quickly and with only warm water. It cleaned our skin completely, removing all excess makeup - including our mascara! Made with knitted micro fibres the Mitt doesn't affect the skin's natural acid mantle and won't harm or affect the softness of your skin. It will also help aid the skin in protecting itself from bacteria. We would reccomend using the mitt daily to remove makeup, as well as clean the face, in order to see lasting effects.

You can purchase the all-in-one bronzer here for £29.95, you can purchase the lip balm here for £14.00 and the mitt is available here for £17.00.

Ruby Red Reviving Body Cleanser

With so many skincare brands available it's often hard to know which one to opt for. And with the shelves of shops fit to burst with choice, it can be all too easy to choose the most brightly packaged, or the one that's on offer, rather than taking time to select one that's right for our skin type.

Ruby Red Cosmetics was founded in 2008 by Mike and Martine Ruby who combined their passion for botanical ingredients with their love for design to create a brand whose core belief centred around natural products Having previously worked for cosmetics giant Elizabeth Arden, it was an eighteen month sabbatical around SE Asia that inspired Martine to start Ruby Red, having witnessed the way in which natural ingredients were used in everyday life without a chemical substitute.

And so they created a fabulous product range suitable for all types of skin, including those who are sensitive to harsh chemicals and synthetics. Botanical ingredients are used, which means all of Ruby Red’s products are free from harsh chemicals, parabens, perfumes and dyes and they are never tested on animals so you can rest assured that their products really are top notch.

The Reviving Body Wash that we at The Amazing Blog tried out was every bit as wonderful as it sounded. Made from the natural cleansing foaming agents of coconut and corn with Aloe Vera Leaf extracts, it is rich in natural polysaccharides which soften and soothes skin, and certainly left ours in butter-soft condition.  With fresh aromas of Key Lime, sweet Red Mandarin, crushed Coriander and Wild Cedarwood, this really is a treat for your skin. Available online from the Ruby Red Shop, the Reviving Body Cleanser costs £16 for 200ml and £32 for 500ml  – it's a substantial bottle and will last and last so a worthy investment for such a wonderful cleanser!

Kalis Skincare

Here at The Amazing Blog, we like nothing more than a casual stroll through the streets of London. And with shops on every street corner, there's always somewhere for us to venture into whether it be for that cute new shirt we've been eyeing up or simply for a frothy cup of coffee. However, while spring looks to be on its way, there can still be a bitter chill in the air, making these walks a bit of a cold business! We have to perfect the art of layering and find a happy medium between frost-bite and hot flushes; certainly not the easiest of tasks! And with misleading rays of sunshine accompanying icy winds, the weather can play havoc with our skin, leaving it dry and irritated. Thankfully, after searching tirelessly, the gang at The Amazing Blog have found a solution.

Kalis Skincare originated in Italy; indeed the Italians have been deeply impressed with this product and having tried it ourselves we can completely understand why! After using this product for the first time, we could not be happier with its results. Adding a much-needed dose of moisture and made up of entirely natural ingredients,  it's a promising change from all the chemically infused skin care products that are on the market these days. In addition, the Kalis Skincare cream is not tested on animals, and doesn't leave you with that oily residue that is often experienced with competing brands. With this product, just a small amount of cream is enough and spreads very easily so we found that even a small jar of Kalis Skincare lasts awhile.

And so, not only does this cream come in handy during these cold winter months, but it doubles as an after-sun lotion so we can look forward to also using it after a soothing summer day in the sun.  Fingers crossed for a piping hot summer!
