Dudu - Osun African Black Soap

Contemporary life means a career to follow, hundreds of places to be in the same day and no time for taking care of our skin; but at The Amazing Blog we have the right to say that’s not true anymore thanks to the new Dudu – Osun African Black Soap.

Forget early mornings, you’ll have all the time you need for cleansing and moisturising in one with this product.  Let’s put it this way, African princes and princesses a long ago were very enthusiastic about natural ingredients and Africa is a country where you can get the most from nature; this is the main reason why Dudu-Osun has been created.
As its name says, this soap is black because of the Cocoa Pod Ashes which is mixed with kernel oil, aloe vera, honey, shea butter and natural glycerine creates a product perfect not only for face, but even hair and body and it suits both men and women.
What all these incredible ingredients do is something we’ve never seen before. This soap provides a perfect cleansing and moisturising action at the same time but also can help if you have eczema or acne. Beside it can be found in a slightly scented version, with sandalwood and camwood, or parfume-free.

No matter which one you’ll go for, black soap will always be the best choice. Get both of the versions here, full size at £5 and travel size at £1.75.

Stvdio 5 - Natural Soaps

Here at The Amazing Blog, there’s is nothing we love more than relaxing in a nice hot bath with some soothing music, a glass of wine and some deliciously scented soap.  The clever people at Stvdio 5 have created some of the most gorgeous soaps we’ve ever seen, so that our baths no longer just smell delicious, they look it too.

Each of the beautifully designed soaps is handmade with serious attention to detail to look like some of our favourite baked goods. Unlike those carb-filled treats, however, these soaps are packed full of goodness. Following the cold process method, they combine Olive, Coconut, Almond and Castor Oils instead of using any nasty chemicals. We certainly felt the benefit of this natural goodness; that horrible drying feeling given by most standard soaps was noticeably absent after this tasty looking cleanse. The formula is enriched with Kaolin and Tea Tree Oil, which are packed with antibacterial properties, as well as Aloe Vera Extract, a powerful source of Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6 and B12, Vitamin C and E. What makes these soaps extra special? They’re vegan, cruelty free, natural and, best of all, British.

They smell so good, you’ll want to eat them (but don’t!). These stunning soaps start from £3.00 and you can find them on Stvdio 5’s website.

Bochery Nature Lotion and Soap

blog image This weather is ridiculous and most perplexing. We in the UK are currently experiencing some of the wettest Winter months on record. One thing that springs (ah yes Spring - we're ever hopeful!) to mind when thinking about this weather is what it does to our lovely skin. The Amazing Blog has been using the new Bochery Nature range as they have some deliciously re hydrating properties that will help to put back a peachy glow into our rather sallow complexions. What makes them a little different, is that not only are their products based on natural and active ingredients, but they also use special Nano-technology & Biotechnology so that the final result is gentle and won't damage the all important Melanin deposit in the lower skin layer; thus all their products can be safely used on both the body AND the face. We were particularly interested in trying out two of their cleansing skincare products the Bochery Nature Tonic & Oxgyenating Lotion and the Bouchery Aromatic Soap.

The Bochery Nature Tonic & Oxgyenating Lotion has a plentiful number of benefits for the skin. These include toning, cell oxygenation and energising qualities. Let’s not forget to mention the addictive, fruity smell that comes with the product. The packaging and product colour does slightly resemble the look of nail polish remover, but that shouldn’t put you off as the lotion itself is a really great way to revive and refresh the skin. It’s £17.50 and as a toner we think its good value, as a little really does go a long way - especially when applying after either a cream cleanser or wash-off make up remover. Their nano-technology is all about stimulation of cells to encourage ultimate revitalisation of the skin, it also offers protection against UV rays. There are natural moisturising factors to help replenish skin cells, making it a great pick-me-up product if you feel your skin is looking a bit tired and dull. I really recommend this if you live in London, or any busy city, as it’s a great way to cleanse your skin but not stripping it as it actually adds wonderful skin enhancers.

The Bochery Aromatic Soap, is a handmade delight which looks and smells wonderful. I have been trying the Aloe Body and Face Soap, and this specific one is for normal, dry and sensitive skin. Oh, and it also has anti-wrinkle benefits… so a bonus! There is Organic Glycerin in the ingredients to help make all this happen. I really love using natural soaps for my face but only when they are moisturising and natural as I can't bear that skin-tightening effect that you get with some others. This one is not only packed full of goodness but also has lovely shades of green in different densities making it a great addition as a bath time essentials. This soap is specially formulated not to react with your skin or cause spots, which many other soaps I have used have been prone to do. This is definitely worth a purchase, it can also be a great little gift for someone. It is only £4.45 and lasts and lasts... and can be found here.

The Bochery products and soaps are all dermatological tested, fragrance,  paraben, allergens and alcohol free. NO animal derivatives are used and NO hydroquinone is used. They are indeed just reliable products that get the job done.

Cor Silver Soap

  final blog image

During the next few months we will be spending a lot of money on our friends and family as Christmas is fast approaching. This means we need to make cut backs elsewhere, so what better than a multitasking soap which can cleanse, tone, relieve acne, reduce oil build up, remove makeup and prevent signs of ageingThe Amazing Blog girls have found the Cor Silver Soap to do it all, meaning there is no need to spend money on an abundance of different skincare products this year.

With silver being the main ingredient in this soap, I was excited to try it as anything silver in the past has been a success with me. Whenever a brand claims that their product has as many benefits as this one, I do get a bit doubtful as it seems too good to be true. However, I opened my mind to trying the Cor Silver Soap to see if it really was a miracle skincare product. When opening it, you're hit with an instant fragrance which is wonderfully orangey and tropical. I applied the soap by wetting my hands and building up a lather in my hands then smoothing it gently into my skin. On application it’s nothing unique and just feels like you are using a normal soap. After washing however, my skin felt cleansed and hydrated, and it wasn’t left with a greasy layer which I have found in the past.

After using it for about a week, I began to see changes in my skin. Usually my nightly skin routine leaves me with irritated blemishes because of the different products but I found this was improved after using the soap and my skin looked healthier. I often wake up with oily skin after a night of build up, although not completely gone this was reduced quite noticeably. So, although labelled higher than high street prices, you won’t need to spend money on other products so it can work out cheaper. My skin was a lot softer and moisturised and my pores were  much cleaner. I have naturally oily skin, and have been searching for a product to help me with this. Although the Cor Silver soap didn’t noticeably reduce oil production during the day, I did find it helped over night when I hadn’t applied makeup over the top.

So, if you’re looking for a lovely soap to give you younger looking skin with an even tone then it’s worth trying out this Silver Soap. The prices range from £15, £35, and £100, so if you’re not sure it’ll work then go for the 10g size for £15 to test it out. You can purchase it from their webpage here.
