Baylis & Harding - Great Body Range

Here at The Amazing Blog we love new and exciting skincare products, so when Baylis & Harding sent us their new Great Body range, we couldn't wait to try it out!

Baylis & Harding’s new 5 step Great Body products encompass all the steps of the shower routine, to leave you smooth, silky and smelling amazing! A different look for Baylis & Harding, the 5 step products show they really do mean business, and don't just smell gorgeous. The first step is the Great Body in-shower Body Polish with coconut oil, geranium and vitamin B. Simply scrub all over to remove any dead cells and other impurities whilst brightening and scenting the skin. Secondly, the Body Wash with glycerin acts as an ultra moisturiser for the skin, locking in moisture and keeping skin smooth. The elderflower and meadowsweet extracts give the product a sweet, summery smell which I found lingered for hours. The third step is the Body Lotion, which has the exciting new Tego Smooth 48 hr moisturiser, which contains active ingredients which when coupled with the amino acids, ensures maximum moisture retention, leaving skin unbelievably soft. The penultimate step in the process is the Firming Cream which uses a blend of herbal actives from India to firm and sculpt the skin. Now we're nearly there! Finally, the Body Mist adds the finishing touch to the process. It contains elderflower to soothe and meadowsweet just like the second step which ties all the steps together whilst cooling the skin, leaving you feeling cleansed, soft and delicious!

All together, it may seem like a long process, but once a week, on a Sunday night for example, it will leave you feeling silky smooth and refreshed for the coming week! I received many compliments on the smell that the products left, priced at only £6 each, it’s a small price to pay, so treat yourself. Chulo Naturals

Good old fashioned ‘do the job’ natural beauty products are always welcomed with open arms at The Amazing Blog, especially when they are lovingly handcrafted right here in our hometown. We were delighted to hear about the Chulo Naturals brand, a beauty company who manufacture a wide variety of luxury UK-made skin care products. All their products use natural ingredients such as sugars, salts, butters, oils and fruits which are sure to be full of vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, moisturisers and all the lovely stuff that our skin adores. We have been trying the intriguingly named “Bubbling Butter” in Almond Milk. This two-in-one product combines a fragrant foaming soap with rich body butter, giving you a shower essential that moisturises your skin as you wash. It can also double up as a bubble bath (explains the name) by pouring some under running water it creates a foamy bath for you to soak and relax in, which is just what we need as the weather getting so much colder. You’ll definitely want as much time as possible soaking in this as the Bubbling Butter is so rich and moisturising, it left my skin feeling soft and silky. The Almond Milk gave it an incredibly natural and neutral fragrance but if you don’t fancy that then there are 3 other luxurious flavours that are also available to choose from; Dark Pomegranate, Vanilla and Sandalwood and Ginger and Sweet Orange, all of which sound very tempting.

We also had a go with their Rich Belly Butter, specially formulated for expecting mummies. It uses a mix of Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil as well as Frankincense and Rose essential oils which have been discovered to work wonders on surgery and stretch marks. Although none of us here are expecting, we gave it a little try and it felt lavish and glossy on the skin, not to mention the gorgeous zesty fragrance that comes with it.

These simple products are delightfully fresh and don’t give the impression of being damaging to your skin, because they aren’t…There are no added chemicals or ingredients which may irritate sensitive skin. They are an absolute treat to use, a treat that will very much be welcomed by your skin too! They are the perfect presents for friends and family this wintery Christmas. ‘Blanche The Blues’ with the Soak Yourself Bath Ritual Recipe Kit

We all know too well, you’ve had an incredibly long week, and all you want to do is get home and have a relaxing bath. But the problem is, you have to gather all of the necessary materials for good bath time: bubble bath, candles, soap, and whatever else you may need. Couldn’t it all just come in one handy box? Well, now it can! Here at The Amazing Blog, we got the opportunity to try Jackie Hope’s new Soak Yourself Bath Ritual Recipe Kit in ‘Blanche The Blues’, and it really is an experience.

Eve of St. Agnes - Organic Bath Oil & Exfoliating Polish

One of my all time favourite poems is "Eve of St. Agnes" by British poet, John Keats. The very romance of it has always appealed to me. So naturally, when a box from a brand called “Eve of St. Agnes” came through the doors of The Amazing Blog, I instantly claimed it. We received both an Organic Bath Oil as well as a Refining Bamboo Exfoliating Polish - I couldn’t wait to try them.

I started with the Organic Bath Oil. This oil contains a luxurious mix of organic avocado, hemp and coconut oils as well as orange, green mandarin, cardamom and frankincense essential oils. Once I poured two capfuls into my running bath, I was instantly hit with the strong smell of each oil's fragrance. I must admit, it was slightly over powering at first, but once I settled in I was taken away into a warming, uplifting and decadent bath time experience. Although next time, I think I’ll stick to the recommended single capful.

After my relaxing bath, I continued my evening pamper with the Refining Bamboo Exfoliating Polish. I am always hesitant using an exfoliator because of my sensitive skin, so I approached this polish with caution.  Initially, I found the polish to be a bit rough, but after gently massaging it in I became quite fond of the texture. And after rinsing it off I was left with smooth and silky soft skin.  Not to mention the smell of orange, green mandarin and sandalwood helped me relax for the evening.
