Wolf Hand Cream for Men

Jose's monday The girls at The Amazing Blog  are all laughing at me… they’re getting their own back on me for teasing them about all their lotions and potions in the office. I’m not really much of a skincare sort of guy but occasionally I do get dry hands and reach for the nearest tube of hand lotion on the desk. Whereby, I let out a shriek in disbelief as I’ve blindly applied some girlie highly fragranced cream all over my hands. Need I say any more? Enter Wolf Hand Cream for Men .

Wolf Hand Cream for Men is a small family business dedicated to providing men with those niche grooming products that women take for granted but for which men still have little or no choice but to use their wife's moisturising creams. First and foremost they see this as a hand cream for men who live life to the full; whether at work or at play, their hands are at the forefront of their activities. So, whether you’re a rugby player, rock climber, canoeist, tree-surgeon or fireman this hand cream is for you.

Now, at last, I have a tube on the desk of my very own (hands off girls!) Wolf Hand cream for Men is unscented, non-greasy in a clear tube with subtle branding. All I have to do is squeeze a small amount and rub in – great for the winter time. No horrible nasties (i.e. parabens) and is not tested on animals. RRP £5 for a 50ml tube – great value! You see the girls have taught me well.

A Touch of the Exotic

With the current cold spell in London bringing about warnings of snow and temperatures as little as -2, my hands are, as usual, the first casualty to suffer from such extreme temperatures. As I’m originally from Spain, I’m certainly not used to the kind of temperatures that Brits are, and frequently misplace my gloves, always forgetting just how much I’ll need them later that day.

When discussing my dilemma with the rest of the team at The Amazing Blog, I was recommended a brand called Malida, who source all of their products from Thailand, due to its abundance of natural resources, exotic fruits, herbs, plants and flowers. The hot climate in Thailand also encourages production of top quality ingredients without the need for chemical intervention.

So, following their tips for anyone struggling with the sudden cold snap, I tried the Malida Pinky Rose Hand Cream, made of a 94.2% of natural ingredients including Sweet Almond oil, Jojoba Oil, Coconut oil, Yoghurt extract and vitamin E. It’s a really perfect combination to help strengthen skin and reduce redness and the hand cream leaves you with super-soft skin, a perfect antidote to chapped hands.

And the hand lotion is just one of the many products available in the Malida Floral Series. In fact, Malida’s product range is huge in their ingredients variety and benefits. The brand offers a Duo Series pack, where they combine two key natural ingredients, such as basil and lemon (perfect for exfoliating). But they also offer Sense Series, a fabulous range of products to stimulate the senses. Loads of different products with a whole host of natural oils (Grapefruit, Geranium, Rosemary, just to mention a few) offers the perfect treat for both mind and body

Knowing that Thailand’s natural resources of exotic fruits, herbs, plants and flowers, will benefit all skin types and help add a touch of relaxation, Malida offers a wide range of Spa Products on their website, where you can buy into a world full of essences and nature.

Apodea

Having been cursed with such sensitive skin that I have to avoid anything heavily perfumed, artificially coloured or synthetic (which pretty much rules out most of the latest beauty offerings) working in an office of beauty junkies trying every new beauty fad is often a frustrating experience. As a result I am constantly on the look out for natural, gentle and effective products that won’t break me out in a rash but are slightly more interesting than the incredibly basic (and boring) dermatological and emollient offerings that I was subjected to as a child. This normally means that a product must be all natural, organic and free from synthetic fragrances to even warrant a second look (and any added bonuses are always a plus) which is exactly why I was happy to stumble upon my latest find, Apodea.

Apodea is a unique, authentic, organic and biodynamic bodycare range produced in small batches by the Rossi family from their Umbrian farm in Italy. The high quality artisan range is built around a core of organic bee derived products – honey, beeswax, and propolis – which possess protective, calming, hydrating, anti-bacterial and healing properties. Apodea focus on quality and small-batch production to maintain their high standards ‘from bee to balm.’ The Rossi family are passionate about biodynamic beekeeping which is part of a holistic approach to farming that rejects harmful commercial practices such as clipping a queen’s wings to prevent them from swarming elsewhere and harvesting the honey too early or too frequently. It’s not surprising that these practices produce better products, leave the land more fertile and positively encourage nature’s forces. The honey, beeswax, and propolis ingredients are produced after bees from the Rossi family’s hives have had a chance to roam free over the unspoilt Umbrian countryside, collecting nectar from fragrant wild plants including peach, almond and olive trees, honeysuckle, lilac, rosemary, wild thyme and limeblossom in the fertile Tiber Valley...sounds like the ideal life to us!

The Rossi’s began by making their now best-selling multi-purpose saviour Propolis Balm for friends and family in the 1980s and have gradually developed more products and continue to add to the Apodea range which today includes a Hand Cream, Lip Balm, Body Emulsion, Vegetal Soap, Deodorant, Shampoo and Conditioner. Office favourites here at Amazing PR include the Hand Cream with honey and lemon which was quickly absorbed and non-greasy with a refreshing subtle lemon fragrance and the Lip Balm which was instantly hydrating and has a pleasant sweet orange smell.

Apodea’s packaging is 100% recyclable and the products contain no synthetic fragrances, artificial colouring and are not tested on animals. In addition to bee-derived ingredients, Apodea products also include high quality organic Italian cold pressed and essential oils such as Sicilian lemon and geranium. All the products are very gentle and naturally lightly scented, which makes them safe for pregnant women and also equally irresistible to men!
