We love discovering boutique brands and smaller companies and sharing them with all you lovely subscribers, so we of course have to tell you about the Spirit of Summer Fair that’s happening next weekend!

From the 16th to the 19th of May, you can visit the Spirit of Summer Fair in Olympia, London, a perfect day out to discover new trends and creative ideas for the home and garden. You can spend the whole day wandering around the variety of over 200 handpicked boutiques, for inspiration on all things home and garden - and best of all you won’t be able to find these stylish picks on the high street! The quirky brands on show at the fair are great for anyone looking to find whimsical additions to their homes and gardens, or handmade decor that no one else will have.

At the fair you’ll also be able to participate in workshops, inspirational talks and food and wine tastings. Orli Candles

Here at The Amazing Blog we love multi-tasking beauty products, so when we stumbled upon the Orli Massage Candles we were absolutely sold. These candles products double as a beautifully fragranced candle and melt into a luxurious and moisturising massage oil. The Orli Massage Candles are perfect as body moisturisers, warm body massage oils, or as a rich lotion, perfect for manicures and pedicures! You can even use it dry as a body balm. We especially love the Scottish Raspberry & Black Pepper candle, the scent lingers on your skin for hours. The handmade mix of Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, and Vitamin E leaves your skin soft and smooth. They couldn’t be easier to use either, you simply light the candle, enjoy the fragrance, and wait for the wax to melt into a pool of warm oil. Then wait a few seconds for it to cool, and pour out the warm oil to use! The delicious candle has notes of orange, vanilla, rosemary and jasmine, blended perfectly to scent the room and your skin. We also love that they use 100% natural ingredients, so you can be sure that your skin is getting the best ingredients. Their massive range is sure to have a scent that suits you, with casual and relaxing combinations, they’re the ultimate pampering treat for your skin!

So be sure to pick up one or more of these deliciously fragranced and relaxing candles from here.

Colin Leslie Bamboo Eyewear

Sunglasses are one of my favourite accessories and are most definitely a must-have everytime I leave my house. Whether the sun is shining bright or I simply need something to hold back my hair, I always have a pair of sunglasses in my bag. Finding the perfect pair, however, can be quite a struggle. Either they're too big or small for your face, too expensive, or simply not your taste. Thankfully my colleagues at The Amazing Blog have managed to find me the perfect pair of sunglasses from Colin Leslie Bamboo Eyewear!

I fell in love with these sunglasses as soon as I saw them. They come in a variety of different styles such as a vintage, wide eyed, geeky, classic, and retro. Due to the shape of my face, my personal favourite are their aviator style sunglasses because those are the ones that look the best on me. However you couldn't go wrong with any of their glasses!

In addition to being extremely stylish, these sunglasses are eco-friendly and help to reduce our carbon footprint. All of Colin Leslie’s glasses are individually handmade and incorporate bamboo. However the bamboo used in the glasses is not wild bamboo, but instead specifically grown for production. These glasses are produced from recycled acetate frames and the pouches are made from recycled drinking water bottles. Colin Leslie’s background in carpentry ensures that all of his glasses are exquisitely made and are of the highest quality. If you are in search of the perfect pair of sunglasses, then look no further than Colin Leslie Bamboo Eyewear! You can order your pair online here.

Sealed delights

Not only is the weekend now nothing but a distant memory, but today is the greyest of grey days. Windy, rainy and dull-as-dishwater, a Monday like today is the worst kind of start to the week. Couple that fact with the impending Valentine's Day and there's certainly not much to be cheerful about.

Luckily for the gang at The Amazing Blog a silver lining arrived today in the form of G Desserts, just in time to dispel our grey cloud of gloom. Founded by Gillian, the conception of G Desserts came about when she discovered that her three children were having adverse effects from the additives and preservatives used in mass-produced cakes. And thus, as creators of the creme de la creme of handmade desserts, G Desserts use only the finest of ingredients and are free from both additives and preservatives. Most of the ingredients are sourced from local and regional producers in the UK, and as the cupcakes are beautifully presented in jars, the packaging is both reusable and recyclable.

While the jars were intially used as a form of portion-control, they also provide numerous other benefits; perfect for packed lunches or eating on the go, they also make wonderful wedding favours and as the jars seal in moisture they prevent the cupcakes from drying out.

Available in seven mouth-watering flavours: Strawbubbly, Simply Vanilla, Victoria Sponge, Carrot Passion, Chocolate Nutter, Lemon Passion and Red Velvet, we were lucky enough to sample the Chocolate Nutter and Red Velvet, both of which taste every bit as good as they look.

So whether you need an afternoon pick-me-up, or simply fancy a decadent delicacy give G Desserts a try - certainly the tastiest treat we've ever found in a jar!

Hugo & Hennie

Regular readers of this blog will know that here at Amazing PR our beloved company mascot, aka Tibetan Spaniel Mojai, rules the roost and like us, he is partial to the finer things in life. From his fondness for organic treats to his bespoke dog coats and office water-bed for the warmer months, Mojai is always one paw ahead of the pack and wouldn’t dare settle for the mass-produced products his contemporaries have to put up with. In order to cater to Mojai’s exquisite taste we are constantly on the look out for unique brands that both satisfy his high standards yet still maintain a practical element and blend into our existing decor.

Hugo & Hennie was created by mother and daughter team, Carol Cooper and Katie L’Herpiniere who wanted to produce quality products for dogs that were both beautiful and useful. Tired of having to quickly hide the less-than attractive dog beds every time guests came round, Carol and Katie wanted to create appealing and practical products that both owner and dog will love and that blend seamlessly into any home. Their range of dog beds and unique crate covers (that transform the most mundane dog crates in a flash) are all handmade in the UK to ensure that the are of the highest quality. Keen campaigners of ‘buying British’ Carol and Katie want to encourage everyone to support British-made products and pride themselves on the workmanship and high quality of their products which are designed to last for years. Not only do their furnishings look stylish in any setting they are also practical and feature removable and machine-washable handmade covers and optional waterproof inners. Hugo & Hennie are careful to only offer a number of prints and colours to choose from which they change seasonally to ensure each colour combination is not mass produced and so you can be safe in the knowledge that your dog has a unique bed which can be updated by buying a new cover. They also offer a bespoke service where customers can use an ‘interactive designer’ on their website to pick and choose from a selection of fabrics and design a bed that works perfectly for any colour scheme. Mojai certainly approves...
