Mohdoh Away Madness

I am a huge fan of aromatherapy, but when I heard that there is a company that has combined aromatherapy with an actual handheld product that is completely natural, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Now if you ever get wheezy while travelling or can’t seem to think clearly, mohdoh can help get you through the task easily.

Mohdoh Mouldable Aromatherapy consists of small balls of dough that are kneaded containing certain essential oils in it. As you knead the dough, the oils are vaporized, inhaled, and absorbed through the skin.

In addition to the specific combinations of smells, the colour is carefully selected to help by aiming to balance and enhance our body’s energy centres as well as stimulating the body’s own healing process.

Here are the different remedies they have: Unwind, Slim, Quit, Breathe, Calm, Think, Travel, Sleep, and Headeez. Coming from a background with restlessness issues before going to sleep, the lavender Sleep mohdoh has become my favorite. Before bed, I just put on some light music and grab my mohdoh sleep for about five minutes and I am always shocked the next morning by how quickly I fell asleep.

By using the combination of smell, touch, and sight, you are increasing the ability to pick up these reactions to help soothe the problem at hand. So next time you want to ease a headache or unwind after a day at work, grab some modhoh and begin to mould your way to an improved state of life.

Mohdoh is available at Boots and Holland & Barrett.

“These boots are made for walking, and that’s just what they’ll do…

…one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you” (thanks Nancy). Boots lovely boots, how I love this time of the year. This weekend I noticed  how the nights are drawing in with that slight nip in the air, and I found myself eyeing up my soft woolly jumpers and colourful tweeds. Idly I started to count the number of boots that I had tucked away at the back of my cupboard.  I am shamed into saying that I don't have 5....10....or even 15 pairs, but a whopping 22! But I am going to hold my head up high and justify it by saying “I only EVER wear boots in the winter”. Now my next admission… I’ve just bought ANOTHER pair.

Oh but these babies are DELICIOUS! Sumptuous Schiaparelli red velvet with a deep silky pile that shimmers from every angle, with fragrant buttery leather lining that evokes childhood memories of ponies and tack rooms. And finally their crowning glory is the unique Suzani needlework (the word Suzani comes from the Persian for needle) that adds that final ‘je ne sais quoi’. These are MY Artemis boots and what's more, no two pairs are ever the same. Artemis’s boots originate in Turkmenistan where the special combination of chain, satin, buttonholes and couching stitches form the traditional Suzani technique.  All of the boots are skilfully handcrafted in Istanbul using Suzanis, leather and a rubber heel.

So my 23rd pair will now take pride of place in my collection.  In fact with this season’s ‘boho’ fashion they’ll be in good company with frequent outings on a regular basis. And the best thing? I will be the ONLY person wearing them at London Fashion Week. VERY few people have the red Artemis boots (black ones are much easier to come by…) Green with envy?  OK I’ll quickly open my little black book and tell you where you can get a pair – ah but what a shame it won’t be in time for LFW.
