Benefit Cosmetics – Roller Lash Mascara, Watts Up! Highlighter & They’re Real! Push-Up Liner

Although we often champion smaller brands here at The Amazing Blog, and love to discover hidden beauty gems, sometimes we feel it’s only right to rave about the well-known brands that are certainly worth the hype. Here in the office, we have a bit of a penchant for all things Benefit, so when they sent over some of their best loved beauty products, we were positively jumping for joy.

First in our bag of goodies was the Roller Lash Mascara. The brand’s latest release, it has been all the rage here in London, and for good reason. Designed to work as a hair roller would, the cute pink wand is equipped with tiny hooks, which lift and curl the lashes, negating the need for eyelash curlers. As well as looking more wide-eyed, we loved how fluttery and soft it made our lashes look. It’s the perfect addition to a girly make-up look.

As much as we loved the mascara, our favourite product was Benefit’s classic highlighter, Watts Up! We adore a glowing complexion, and find this to be perfect for giving a soft focus shimmer to our visage. Nothing says old Hollywood glamour like a screen siren glow. As strobing is the latest craze, what better product is there to invest in than this. 

Last but not least, Benefit’s They’re Real! Push-Up Liner takes a bit of getting used to, but with a bit of practice, it’s a great tool for creating a feline flick. The thing that impressed us most was just how black it is. There’s nothing worse than ‘black’ eyeliners that are actually slightly grey, or have a bit of a translucent pay off. This liner is jet black as can be, and a perfect consistency for staying put all day long.

Niyot Lipstick - Striptease

Here at The Amazing Blog, we love styling our summer outfits with on-trend accessories.  We believe that adding a bright pop of colour is a wonderful way to spice up your look. The easiest way to do this is often through make-up, and so we were delighted to receive a beautifully bright Niyot lipstick, the perfect summer accessory.

Launched by London based make-up artist, Toyin Cayoi, Niyot Beauty boasts a wonderful range of products and colours, from nudes to berry hues, with mattes and cream formulas. We were delighted to embrace the brights when they sent over their juicy pink shade, Striptease. Fabulously creamy and hydrating, this Niyot lippy is brilliant for summer wear. It glides on smoothly, and doesn’t catch in the crevices of your lips, an issue that can be hugely noticeable with more neon shades. One of 12 crème lipsticks in the collection, we’re keen to try out some of the more natural shades. In the meantime, however, we are happy to be sporting a hot pink pout.

Time Bomb - Glory Days Day Cream and Flashback Night Cream

Here at The Amazing Blog we love nothing more than sumptuous products to help give our skin a youthful glow, and Time Bomb Glory Days Day Cream and Flashback Night Cream do just that.

Fashion Fair - Perfect Illuminating Powder

Here at The Amazing Blog , it feels like it’s finally time to embrace summer! Aside from ice cream, sandals and summertime strolls, nothing screams summer more than bronzed skin. We’ve found the perfect way to cheat that bronzed glow with the Perfect Finish Illuminating Powder from Fashion Fair.

Formulated primarily for women of colour, Fashion Fair has a wonderful range of cosmetics that are perfect for a number of skin tones. The Illuminating Powder would be ideal for adding a flush of colour or a highlight to darker skin. That being said, I find that the versatile shade adds a wonderful glow to my fair skin. Being on the paler side myself (although I often dose up with my favourite fake tan), I loved the Metal shade for adding a bit of warmth to my summer complexion. A little on the shimmery side, this is more of an evening product for me, but I was so surprised by how good of a match it was for my fair visage. It will certainly be going in my suitcase this summer to help me master a sun-kissed look on warm exotic evenings.

Clayspray - White Clay and Lavender Clayspray and Red Clay Claytherapy

Here at The Amazing Blog we love to use natural products for skin. When we received the White Clay and Lavender and the Red Clay Clayspray we couldn’t wait to try it.  It contains only pure ingredients, including clay, spring water, hydrogels and selected plant extracts.
